When’s the last time you woke up and didn’t want to get out of bed? We all have rough days and I’ve found that having a nice book to read or calming music to listen to can sometimes help me to find some motivation to get through my rough patches. Here are a list of my top five meditation pieces (all of these meditations are between 5 to 10 minutes each):
1. Berdhanya Swami Tierra – Finding Inner Peace
Berdhanya Swami Tierra is a spiritual teacher, author and mystic leader who was born in Colombia and became educated at the Incca University in Bogotá. Berdhanya Swami Tierra is dedicated to opening the way to individuals who are sincerely interested in self-cultivation and life renewal. She helps you chart the course to find your way to inner peace in this meditation. The music, visual and her calming tone provide a wonderfully symphonic meditation piece.
2. Five Minute Meditation – Stress Relief
Stress and anxiety can affect how you feel, think and behave and how your body works. This meditation takes you through multiple steps to combat your everyday nerves. You will hear only the voice of the British narrator with no music or visuals. He guides you to focus, clear your mind and bring peace to your thoughts.
3. Yoga By Candace – 5 Minute Guided Meditation
This meditation is narrated by a young female. With simple but concise instructions, she helps you focus on your breathing and brings the focus back to your body. These breathing exercises provide you a manner to start your day with inner focus and provide an outlet to let the stress that is keeping you in bed be released.
4. Morning Sunrise Meditation- – Find Your Inner Zen
Joel Annesley is a life coach from Sydney Australia who feels that his mission is to inspire people to take a step out of the ordinary and discover what it really means to live life to its fullest. This meditation is led by Joel with subtle musical chords in the background that helps you focus on his words. This meditation provides you with instructions on how to allow the energy of the morning sun to infiltrate you with the power to get up and soar through your day.
In just five minutes each day, your view of the world can be shifted with the help of this piece. The female narrator walks you through the steps to perform this meditation. She helps you to focus on your imagination so that it benefits you and helps you to push away any anxiety that is preventing you from getting out of bed and starting your day. This is a very positive and uplifting meditation.
I hope you will find one that speaks to you and your particular situation.
